The XSL12 is a great choice for small to medium scale sound reinforcement. It can also work well with GSL and KSL Systems as fill and delay. You can fly up to twenty-four / twenty-two cabinets in compression or tension mode from XSL Flying frames and up top twelve cabinets from the smaller XSL Mounting frames in vertical columns to get a 120° constant directivity dispersion pattern in the horizontal plane. It has two 8” neodymium forward facing LF drivers, two side firing 6.5” neodymium LF drivers, one horn-loaded 6.5” MF driver, and two 1” exit HF compression drivers with 2” voice coils on a dedicated wave shaping device. Thanks to the smart arrangement of the front and side firing LF drivers and their special processing, it keeps seamless directivity from 60 Hz to above 18 kHz. You can also link two cabinets in Line or Arc mode for more flexibility. The SL-Series' flying hardware has a cool patented workflow with integrated tension and compression rigging modes, letting you set splay angles between cabinets from 0° to 14° in 1° increments. The loudspeakers are powered by two channels of an appropriate d&b amplifier, which gives dedicated processing for the front LF and passive crossover for side LF and MF/HF sections. This makes the cabinet produce a perfectly symmetrical dispersion pattern.
The cabinet is made of injection molded PC-ABS plastic and has a tough 2K finish that protects against impacts and weather. The front and side panels have rigid metal grills covered by an acoustically transparent and water repellent fabric. Each side panel has a recessed handle, and there are two more handles at the rear.
